Summer in the Philippines is over and these past few weeks, I've been preoccupied with the rain, work, and moving in to my new place - which means I've been unable to blog about my trips. I'm back though, and to usher in the rainy season, I thought I'd put this picture up, from when we were waiting to board our plane in Coron, Palawan back to Manila last year. Surprisingly, it was one of the most comfortable, turbulence-free flights I've taken, but you never would've been able to tell from this picture.

I follow a blog called Offbeat Collective, and they had an interesting post a while back about takeoff songs. The writer chose MGMT's "Time To Pretend" for his own takeoff song, which I absolutely love and also wrote about previously. I got to thinking about what I'd choose to be my takeoff song and a handful of songs came up, until I finally decided to go with this one:
I'll probably change my mind tomorrow or on my next trip because I'm fickle like that (and because there are just too many beautiful songs out there, it's hard to stick to just one), but for now, this is the one.
What's your chosen takeoff song?

I love this song and this video by Bamboo. It's really just footage of them going on a road trip to Laiya, San Juan, but the video fits the song perfectly.
"Supreme love and respect, peace, man."
