I'm itching to go to the beach. Hopefully we get to surf this weekend!
I also miss our default beach place, Kota Keluarga in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas. For more stuff to do in Laiya, visit the quirky neighborhood cafe called Cafeno - read more about it here.

can you tell me where to surf in laiya? im from batangas and would love to try to surf. also, how's the wave?
Hello! I met a fellow Pinoy (in Laos, of all places) who said he had tried surfing in Laiya, near the port area. I've yet to try it though! I'm not sure the Laiya beaches are fit for surfing because I don't think there are a lot of waves. Even the guy who said that he surfed in Laiya said the waves were created because of the port that was built there - not not exactly a surf area by default. I know there are people who surf in the Nasugbu area though. There are lots of videos on YouTube about it. :)
I CAN SAY THAT I OWNED A PROPERTY IN KOTA KELUARGA, LAIYA,BATANGAS. THEY HAVE AMENITIES IN WHICH YOU CAN SURF, THE ARE REALLY BIG WAVES DURING RAINY SEASONS FROM JULY TO NOVEMBER. THE WAVES ARE REALLY BIG! I CAN SAY THAT LAIYA IS PART OF SO CALLED VERDE ISLAND PASSAGE WHICH IS CALLED THE HOLY GRAIL OF MARINE LIFE IN THE WHOLE WORLD. I AM BLESSED TO BE THE OWNER PART OF THE AREA. THE BEST INVESTMENT FOR MY RETIREMENT.
