[Read Part 1 here.]
After YongPyong Ski Resort and Jukjeon Cafe Street on Part 1 of this 2-part feature, here are two more alternative destinations to visit outside of Seoul. The best part? It would only take a day to visit both destinations!
3. Petite France
It's quite fascinating how a little piece of Europe exists on a random hillside in Gyeonggi-do. Petite France is designed like a quaint European village and is dedicated to The Little Prince. The place is cute and pretty, if a little artificial-looking, like those cute little made-up sets in theme parks. In any case, it's a great place to have your photos taken. There's also a stage at the center of the village where performances are held and thankfully, there you will find real, authentic talent.

4. Nami Island
Like YongPyong Ski Resort, the popular drama Winter Sonata also shot some of its scenes in Nami Island. The beautiful tree-lined roads and wide expanse of green fields on the isle make it perfect for leisurely strolls and bike rides. In the fall, the trees are garnished with leaves in beautiful autumn colors, and the weather is perfect for a lazy afternoon under the sun.
On our day trip outside of Seoul, we first stopped over at Petite France before spending the rest of the day in Nami Island. It's probably one of the best places to experience autumn in Korea.
The more common way of getting to the island is by ferry, but you can also try the fairly new zip line ride from the "mainland". We were tempted to try it, except at the time it felt like it would've been too cold to do so. If any of you have tried it, I'd love to hear what it was like!

wow! there's more to South Korea than Seoul talaga. bet ko yang Petite France. :)
I completely agree! There's a Korean variety show called 1 Night 2 Days that showcases all these amazing places around South Korea. Seoul is truly just one part of a very beautiful country. :)
Thanks for the visit! :)
Looks wonderful!
Thank you! :)
