At least once every year for nearly a decade now, my family stays overnight at Dive and Trek in Batangas - although it might as well be called "Snorkel and Eat", if I was being accurate about our main activities there.
The best thing for me about Dive and Trek is how accessible the rich marine life of the area is to a non-diver - even a non-swimmer, at that. You can easily jump off the resort's dock - with or without a life vest - and already view schools of fish and colorful reefs!
Jump in and read more about the world beneath the surface at Dive and Trek resort after the cut!

awesome photos! i miss Dive and Trek especially Bogart! did you use the Go Pro or are some of these the old shots from your Canon?
Thanks Mabs! Balik tayo with Rissee to practice the GoPro before El Nido! Haha. And these are from my old Canon - I felt so bad that I couldn't take decent photos with the GoPro, so I looked through my old photos, hehe.
Also, Bogart is super old na! But he's ok pa naman. :)
Daene!
Just went back last month to take my friend. I really love the fact that the landscape always gets better when I visit.
I also brought more bread because Bogart is the most adorable glutton... but then we met Max who's well on his way to becoming Bogart 2.0. :)
Awesome pics!
ang ganda! at sa batangas lang to? wow.
Rissee! Thank you! I didn't know you visited just last month. Did your friend like it naman? And yes, it does keep getting better there! Bogart is sooo cute. Is Max his hyperactive son? I've only seen him once but the last time we visited I think he wasn't around, just Bogart. :)
Hey Paul! Yes, Batangas lang yan, probably a 2-hour drive from Manila! It's my family's default beach destination (this plus another place in Laiya). The perks of living the province life. :)
Thanks for the visit!
Wow! Very beautiful and colorful photos! I hope to capture these kind of photos too.. :)
Thanks Ephraim! It's too bad I broke the camera I used to take these on a surf trip last year. :( But yes, taking underwater photos is so much fun! It feels like a bigger challenge compared to taking above-water photos, so a good underwater photo is even more rewarding. :)
awesome! those marine life photos are fantastic, the Philippines indeed offers many gorgeous dive sites. may I know what underwater camera are you using? :)
you made me wanna go to batangas agad agad. haha. di ko pa na try sa dive n trek. sa portulano lang kami dati :)
Dream Holidays Guide: Thank you for your kind words! Yes, the Philippines has amazing marine life. Its one of our country's most valued natural treasures!
I used a Canon Powershot D10 to take these underwater photos. :)
blissfulguro: Hello! Try mo sa Dive n Trek, sobrang sulit siya. I've taken several friends who have kept coming back to the place with their own families and other friends. Highly recommended! :)
Amazing photos!
Thank you Earl! :)
HOw do you commute to Dive and Trek?
Hi Nikki! I'm thinking you can take a bus from Manila to the town proper of either Taal or Anilao (Dive n Trek has two ports from where you can ride a boat that will take you to the resort). From the town proper, you're probably going to need to take a tricycle to the port / dock.
I would recommend that you check out their site for instructions, but as it's currently under construction, you can probably give their admin office a call at +63-2-851-8746. :) Hope this helps!
It will be nicer if you label or watermark your photos in an easy to read font and smaller in size and placed in a corner... Just a suggestion.
Love your photos. We will be vacationing in PI this December and I would like to take my son there. I want him to appreciate the beauty of our country. Is December a good time to snorkel?
Wonderful photos!!! Your really have a rich ocean, no wonder why Philippines is such a wonderful place to go snorkeling. I've heard so much about Batangas! Hopefully, I can also visit and go snorkeling soon. When is the best time to visit there and try snorkeling? Btw, can you also check my article about Snorkeling in Sri Lanka
